This Privacy Policy describes how Prof ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you interact with our Discord bot. By using Prof, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We are committed to collecting only the data necessary to provide and improve Prof's features. The information we collect is stored on Google's Firebase Firestore platform and is broken down as follows:
User Data
- Discord User ID: We use your unique Discord ID as the primary key to identify you and link you to your data.
- $iQ Balance: We store your current balance of Innovation Index ($iQ).
- Rank Data: We store information related to your rank, including your current tier and previous rank for leaderboard tracking.
- Timestamp Data: We store the time of your last commendation, last activity, last boost reward, and the expiration times for temporary items like research grants, profile badges, and custom color roles.
- Other Statistics: We track your bump count, tree watered count, and other metrics to provide leaderboard rankings.
- Store Items: We store a record of the items you have purchased from the store, such as whether you have "Experimental Insurance."
- Custom Role IDs: If you purchase a custom color role, we store the ID of that role to manage its duration.
- Profile Badge: If you purchase a profile badge, we store the emoji you selected.
Bot and Server Data
- Discord Server ID: We use the server ID to store and manage server-specific configurations.
- Bot State Data: We store the time of the last bump and experiment, as well as participants in the weekly lottery.
- Configuration Settings: We store settings configured by server administrators, such as channel IDs for various features.
2. How We Use Your Information
The data we collect is used exclusively to provide the bot's services, including:
- To operate the core $iQ system and track user progress.
- To provide and display user profiles and interactive leaderboards.
- To manage the bot's economy, including store purchases, lottery, and grants.
- To enable features like activity decay and temporary roles/badges.
- To respond to and track user-submitted issue reports.
3. Data Storage and Security
All collected data is stored on Google's Firebase Firestore platform. Firestore encrypts all data at rest by default, providing a secure environment for your information. We do not store any highly sensitive personal information, such as passwords or email addresses.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Your data is stored for as long as it is necessary to provide the bot's features, primarily for maintaining your persistent statistics and virtual items.
You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data stored by Prof. To initiate a deletion request, please follow the instructions in the "Contact Us" section below. Upon receiving a valid request, we will remove your user-specific data from our database.
5. User Rights
As a user, you have the right to:
